Helmut Newton's consort, June Newton, was just as much of a provocateur as he, photographing a prolific body of work under the pseudonym Alice Springs. Opening today, an exhibit at the Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin, her first comprehensive retrospective, traces the scope of her vision, which started four decades ago almost by chance, when the hubby was bedridden with a particularly nasty case of influenza. From then, June quickly became a shutter virtuoso, shooting covers, campaigns and some of the century’s most iconic artists—i.e. Yves Saint Laurent, Gerhard Richter. Of course, being a Newton, she shared a taste for the lascivious and titillating, so alongside her regal portraits, you’ll find a healthy smattering of nubile bottoms, sexy blondes and heaving bosoms.

“The Double Life Of Megan Fox”
Ph: Craig McDean
M: Megan Fox, Model X1A4-B
Wow, Megan really nailed this one. It’s almost as if she was a professional mannequin in a past life! Where does one accumulate such experience emulating inanimate objects you ask? Clearly, you haven’t seen any of her movies, red carpet appearances or previous editorial work… The girl has had lots of practice.
